2025 Global Repair Events Recap — Thailand, Pakistan, Egypt, Russia

2025 Global Repair Events Recap — Thailand, Pakistan, Egypt, Russia

In 2025, the QianLi (Mega Idea) team took the phone repair roadshow to four countries — Thailand, Pakistan, Egypt and Russia. We ran hands-on workshops, demoed the latest board-level repair tools, and talked to hundreds of technicians about the problems they face every day. Here is what happened, what we learned, and what the global repair community asked us most.

Where We Went and What We Saw

Thailand — Bangkok

Bangkok has one of the densest phone repair scenes in Southeast Asia, with thousands of small shops in malls and market districts. Technicians here are fast with screen and battery work and are increasingly moving into motherboard-level repair. The QianLi F1X Desoldering Platform was the most-handled tool at our Bangkok session — shop owners immediately understood the value of a hot air and soldering iron combo on a single bench.

Pakistan — Lahore and Karachi

Pakistan has a huge and young repair workforce, and the mobile market is dominated by affordable handsets that are repaired again and again rather than replaced. Technicians asked practical, cost-conscious questions: how to extend the life of soldering tips, how to test boards without full schematics, and how to verify genuine parts. The FireEye Ultra Thermal Imager generated the most interest — finding shorts without schematics is exactly what Pakistani board-repair technicians told us they needed.

Egypt — Cairo

Cairo's repair market is growing fast alongside smartphone penetration. We met a mix of small-shop owners, training-center instructors, and a new generation of technicians learning board-level work in formal classes. Training centers told us they value tools that are easy to teach with — digital displays, consistent behavior, and a clear upgrade path from starter to professional gear.

Russia — Moscow

Russian repair culture is among the most advanced in the world when it comes to board-level work, data recovery, and chip rework. Technicians here already own serious equipment, so our sessions focused on technique: BGA reballing, layered board testing, and thermal diagnostics. The iSocket Motherboard Test Frame drew deep interest from shops that test IP series boards daily.

Why Repair Events Matter More Than Ever

The repair movement is no longer a niche hobby. It is driven by four converging forces:

  • Right-to-repair legislation is spreading, making parts and documentation more available and normalizing repair as a consumer option.
  • New devices cost more, so consumers are choosing to repair instead of replace — extending the life of phones by years.
  • E-waste concerns are pushing regulators and consumers toward repair as the sustainable default.
  • The skills gap is real: workshops like ours help transfer board-level repair knowledge from veteran technicians to the next generation.

The Questions Technicians Asked Us Most

  • How do I remove IP series back glass safely without cracking the frame? (Answer: precise heat + cold light laser — see our SU8 UV laser machine).
  • How do I find a short circuit on a board with no schematic? (Answer: controlled power supply current draw + thermal imaging).
  • Which soldering station should I buy for BGA rework? (Answer: look for digital temperature control and open tip standards like T12/T245).
  • How do I move from screen repairs to board-level repairs? (Answer: start with a microscope, a good soldering setup, and practice boards).

The Tools That Drew the Most Attention

Across all four countries, the same four product families came up again and again:

What's Next for 2026

Based on the feedback we collected, we are planning more hands-on board-repair sessions for 2026, with a stronger focus on practical training rather than product demos. If you run a repair school, a trade show, or a regional community and would like us to participate, get in touch — we are always looking for partners who want to grow the repair ecosystem.

Q: Does QianLi or Vexagoo host repair training workshops?

Yes. We run hands-on workshops focused on screen repair, board-level rework, and diagnostics. Some are open events; others are arranged with repair schools and training centers. Contact us to find out about upcoming sessions in your region.

Q: Can we invite you to an event in our country?

We participate in repair community events, trade shows, and training programs worldwide. Message us on WhatsApp with the event details and we will see how we can support it — with instructors, demo units, or product support.

Q: Do you sell demo units for training centers?

Yes. Training centers can order equipment at factory-direct wholesale pricing, and we support volume orders for classrooms. Contact us for a training-center quote.

Q: Where can I see the tools in person?

The fastest way is to visit our factory and showroom in Shenzhen, China. We regularly receive distributor and repair-shop visits. Alternatively, join one of our regional events or ask about video demos.

Q: How do I become a local distributor?

We are the authorized global distributor for QianLi Innovation (Mega Idea) and YCS, and we welcome distribution partners in new markets. Message us on WhatsApp with your country and business background to start the conversation.
